Alle beteiligten Staaten gingen von unterschiedlichen Motiven, Zielen und Strategien aus, die sie mit einer Wiedervereinigung anstrebten. Es war ein Balance-Akt, der all diese verschiedenen Ansichten und Vorraussetzungen vereinte. Diese internationalen Vorraussetzungen spielten bei der Wiedervereinigung eine sehr wichtige Rolle, da die Siegerm?chte des Zweiten Weltkrieges Vorbehaltsrechte und Verantwortungen gegen?ber Deutschland hatten und somit eine Wiedervereinigung nicht ohne Zustimmung und Zusammenarbeit mit den M?chten m?glich war. Damit es ?berhaupt zu einer Wiedervereinigung kommen konnte, mussten zun?chst grundlegende Ver?nderungen in den benachbarten Ost-Staaten geschehen. Kapitel 3 beschreibt diese Entwicklungen, welche in Polen ihren Ursprung finden und in der UdSSR zu einem H?hepunkt kamen.
