So in etwa.

Acest titlu este in limba romana! -- C.S. Lewis adun? ?n aceast? colec?ie de eseuri g?nduri despre scrierile de fic?iune, discut?nd ?n special rolul basmelor ?i al literaturii ?tiin?ifico-fantastice ?i ?ndrept?ndu-?i privirea critic? at?t asupra unor scriitori precum J.R.R.

Often we view prayer as an activity reserved for a certain time, in a certain place, offered in a specific way. Scripture invites us to pray continually. This exhortation is an opportunity for prayer to permeate every aspect of our lives--when we're alone or in a crowd, when it's quiet and when it's chaotic, when we feel like it and when we don't.?

Organic Prayer shows us how to make continuous prayer a natural part of our lives rather than something on a spiritual checklist. It helps us encounter God in new ways as we learn to:?

open our eyes to see his presence and the world around us?

open our ears to hear his voice guiding us?

open our hearts to experience freedom and power as we pray?

and open our lives as we pray for and with others and shine the light of Jesus in our dark world?

Anyone desiring a richer, more transformative prayer life will welcome this fresh take on conversing with our Creator.? Anyone hungering to share the grace and goodness of Jesus in our hurting and confused world will find practical ideas for world-changing prayer.

Has regret over past denial of God kept you from the purpose he has for your life? The good news is God does not want you to stay sidelined by past mistakes. By comparing the story of Peter's denial to my own, this book shows how one tough conversation with Jesus could be the thing that moves you forward to radically living for him.
In this book, readers will be introduced to three things.

Possible reasons for denial of God through our words and actions
What a life following Jesus looks like
How to step into God’s purpose for your life through an encounter with Jesus

What Others Say About this Book:
As a teacher, Drew Hall understands better than most, the difficulties teens, and young adults face in today's society. Few people understand how to instruct the next generation to “keep it real” better than Drew. In this book, he brilliantly relates the story of Peter’s failure, restoration, and renewed resolve to show the next generation that they can move beyond mistakes, live for Jesus, and “keep it real” so that others can see Christ through them. Drew pulls no punches as he thoughtfully writes of the sticky subjects facing today's teens offering biblical principles to help them move forward with faithfulness and commitment in their walk with Christ. I recommend this book as a resource for parents, teachers, and youth pastors as they seek to help teens navigate this current cultural moment.
ーKevin Blackwell, PhD, DMin, Assistant to the President for Church Relations, Ministry Training Institute, Executive Director, Department of Christian Ministry

How To Keep It Real is the spiritual pulse check Gen Z and Gen Alpha need. America's youth is inundated with filtered falsehood of what is deemed "good." Hall's work brings this generation back to the question of "what does God say is good? And when God's goodness is not 'cool,' how do I walk in faith anyway?" While the presentation varies from generation to generation, this book will show the struggles of today's young believers do not differ from those who walked with Jesus himself, affirming that His grace is, in fact, sufficient. To those who might be leading young believers, let this book grow your curiosity for their questions. We just might have a nation of Jacobs on our hands who are bold enough to wrestle for a blessing.
ーJosh and Paige Wetzel, authors of Beautifully Broken: An Unlikely Journey of Faith

About the Author:
Drew Alan Hall is a teacher and pastor in Gadsden, Alabama. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University and a Master’s degree from Samford University. He has a passion for preaching and communicating the gospel. He loves Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and working out. He is married to his best friend, Gena. They have two daughters, Emory Kate and Sadie.

To look into the darkness of the human soul is a frightening venture. Here Mary Midgley does so, with her customary brilliance and clarity. In Wickedness she sets out to delineate not so much the nature of wickedness as its actual sources. Midgley's analysis proves that the capacity for real wickedness is an inevitable part of human nature. This is not however a blanket acceptance of evil. She provides us with a framework that accepts its existence yet offers humankind the possibility of rejecting this part of our nature. Out of this dark journey she returns with an offering to us: an understanding of human nature that enhances our very humanity. To read Wickedness is to understand Mary Midgley's reputation as one of the world's greatest moral philosophers.

This work contains essays, editorials, parodies, memoirs, lectures, memoranda and caricatures written since January 8th of 2020. There's no common thread to them, but each contains something that I thought might be of interest to readers. These odds and ends are ordered according to their dates. Although I’ve updated many of them, observant readers will still find many contradictions between them. Just like everyone else, I am always learning and must change or adjust my beliefs and opinions accordingly. We try, as we must, to develop a science of society; but we are each too small and the world too large for that science ever to be exact. --D.R.H.
