<p>Everybody wants to BE happy. Yet a quick look around reveals that most of us are nowhere near as happy as we could be. But our book is about to change that to a tremendous degree. The book identifies three reasons why we humans live with such a gap between the happiness we want and the happiness we've got. It then describes exactly what any of us can do to close that gap and to be happy. By the time one turns the last page of the book, it's very clear that a life of much love and meaning and happiness is possible for anyone. So let's take a brief look at these three barriers and the following description of how the book addresses each. Barrier 1. Almost no one knows what happiness is. People sense that happiness isn't something we "know or do or have". We get that. We get that happiness is a BE thing. Yet no one has figured out how to define happiness in experiential "be terms". That needs to happen. After all, how do we achieve anything including happiness when we don't understand what it is we're trying to achieve? Barrier 2. Everybody understands know, do and have things ? the familiar "transactional level of life". But happiness isn't a transactional thing. It's a be thing. And we have very little familiarity with be things and what we call the "be-level of life". Importantly, the be-level of life is where happiness and unhappiness are determined. So clearly we need to understand the be-level of life. Barrier 3. Few of us are familiar with the part of our human nature that we put to use to exit unhappiness and bring more happiness into our life. Everyone is familiar with mind and body. But it turns out that our less familiar spiritual / higher nature is the part of us that determines happiness and when absent results in unhappiness. So clearly we need to better understand how our spiritual / higher nature can be applied to exit unhappiness bring more happiness to life. Summary of Barriers ? In total, we don't know what happiness is, we're unaware of the be-level of life where happiness and unhappiness are determined and we're mostly unaware of how our spiritual / higher nature help us exit unhappiness and bring more happiness to life. So how do we expect to be happy when we lack awareness of these critical components of happiness? Solution to Barrier 1. Our book provides the first-ever universal definition of happiness and it's purely in experiential "be terms". The book describes the emotional / perceptual way in which all humans experience happiness and unhappiness. Once that's known we can learn to "listen and detect" our momentary degree of happiness or unhappiness. Solution to Barrier 2. Our book provides the first-ever description of what we call the "be-level of life." This is the always active yet nearly unknown level of life where happiness and unhappiness originate and express. The be-level of life has great influence on our thoughts, words, actions and our life's outcomes at the transactional level of life. The happiness-related significance to understanding the be-level of life can't be overstated. Solution to Barrier 3. Our book provides a thorough description of the roles that mind, body and spirit play in causing us to be happy or be unhappy. As it turns out, mind and body play almost no role in that determination. Whereas our spiritual / higher nature is the primary source of here and now happiness. There's much to that and it's very practical. Once we understand how we can develop and apply our higher nature, at the be-level of life, to exit unhappiness and bring more happiness to life, we're on our way! Make sense? The beautiful thing that our book makes clear is that; a) We all have a spiritual / higher nature and we're all pre-wired to find love and meaning in life and be happy, and b) We're all designed with the gifts, the full capacity to do that ? to find love and meaning in life and be happy.
