Es bildet ihre Grundlage, denn viele sprachliche Fakten der romanischen Sprachen lassen sich als Entwicklung des Vulg?rlateins erkl?ren. In diesem Zusammenhang darf auch der Einfluss des Germanischen, des Franz?sischen sowie des Arabischen nicht au?er Acht gelassen werden. In folgender Arbeit wird das Hauptaugenmerk auf den germanischen, besonders auf den westgotischen Einfluss auf der Iberischen Halbinsel gelegt. Zuerst sollen die germanischen St?mme vorgestellt werden, die zu jener Zeit die Iberische Halbinsel besiedelt haben. Dar?ber hinaus werden die politischen und kulturellen Ereignisse in der Zeit vom 4. bis zum 6. Jahrhundert n. Chr. erl?utert, die im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung des Spanischen von Bedeutung sind. Hier ist insbesondere das politische Ereignis der V?lkerwanderung wichtig. Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit sollen die sprachlichen Einfl?sse der germanischen Sprachen auf das Vulg?rlatein und somit gleichzeitig auf das heutige Spanisch thematisiert werden. Es hat sich als sinnvoll erwiesen, diese in drei Kategorien zu gliedern. Im Folgenden werden zuerst die Entlehnungen im Wortschatz erw?hnt und weiterhin soll auf die Einfl?sse im Bereich der Morphologie hingewiesen werden. Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit wird aber auf die Entlehnungen im Bereich Personen- und Ortsnamen gelegt, da viele aktuelle spanische Vor- und Familiennamen der gotischen Sprache entstammen.
