Scribblings of the Madman【電子書籍】[ Derrick Williams ](3)

What is a Scribbling? Roget’s College Thesaurus; Gives a verb ? Write Carelessly; Scratch, Scrawl.
What is a Madman? Roget’s College Thesaurus; A noun ? Mad, Crazy, Insane, Rabid, Frantic, and Foolish.
Are you using the Universal “Man”?
As far as Scribblings and madman are concerned, I prefer those words to writings and crazy guy in the corner. We are all madmen (so to speak) writing carelessly in this world. We are bound by society's definition of who we are and what we do. The book is about the internal battles that we all have had or are experiencing in this existence. I choose to write my fights down on paper and not let them fester in my head.
This book contains 5 sections:Poet, Priest, Lover, Thief, and the Vagabond. A description of three sections are below.
The Poet’s Section ? To be brief, if that is possible for a person of words, this section contains 10 poems that to me represent the power of poetry. They act as therapy for both the reader and the writer. The Poet which is named after that primary character expresses one of the many ways that I feel about writing. I do like to rhyme words. I do like writing when drunk, although that leads to a pocket of mushy poems written on napkins.
The most important thing to remember about my poetry is word flow. I am a writer of spoken word poetry. The imagery is important because that paints the picture in the mind of the reader and puts them in the same place as the narrator of the poem. Also, think of these poems as written not by me but rather they represent the madman in all of us. Each of us has felt this way and experienced these feelings no matter how deep we have buried them, or tried to hide them. That is what all my poems do; speak to the truth behind the truth, the part of us that we fear. I have walked in the places that we fear to tread; those places where we are all dead.
The Priest’s Section ? The Priest is another of my favorite characters. At times he has been the chronicler, the old man, and a little boy. The priest allows me to examine life and avoid the pitfalls of self-delusion and self-pity. I know what I have done and am ashamed at times but like any good layman will tell you Hate the sin but love the sinner. This then is the Priests function, the grounding effect.
The Lover section ? To describe this section is the easiest. I am a hopeless romantic, despite all my failures at Love. I love Love. I am still to this day in love with my sweetheart from the 7th grade. If given the opportunity, I would wine and dine her, place her upon a pedestal again, and rekindle that Love in her. The Lover in me expresses the perfect idea of Love. A love that is Never-ending, Boundless, Timeless, Eternal, and Perfect. In this section this is expressed in numerous ways at different times. The most eloquent expression for me is from Star Trek “I have been and will always be your {lover}.” Spock, says friend in the movie, this however is my reality. Watch out for surprise endings! Enjoy
The Vagabond section - A hobo, an itinerant illiterate, a man without country or home, no space upon a mantle to call his own. These are the words that I have used to describe the feelings and motivations behind this voice in my head. This character is the embodiment of my destiny which is "Loneliness is my destiny. To love many but never be loved. To know many but never be known. My heart laments, my soul repents a destiny such as this." I write as a poet. I confess as the priest. I Love and take as the lover and thief. I live as the Vagabond and that has made all the difference.
Shadows on the Rock【電子書籍】[ Willa Cather ](3)

This tale was published in 1931. Willa Cather's Shadows on the Rock tells the tale of a young girl, her widower father, and their friends, all of them working to make a life for themselves in Quebec in 1697. "Shadows on the Rock" is a historical novel which takes place between 1697 and 1713 in Quebec. For a number of years after the French first settled Quebec, it was an isolated, rocky settlement where many of the inhabitants struggled to survive in the harsh climate. The people tightly clung to the Catholic Church's interpretation of events and distrusted anyone who differed in this world-view. Frequent prayer and church services were the rule. Chapter I One afternoon late in October of the year 1697, Euclide Auclair, the philosopher apothecary of Quebec, stood on the top of Cap Diamant gazing down the broad, empty river far beneath him. Empty, because an hour ago the flash of retreating sails had disappeared behind the green island that splits the St. Lawrence below Quebec, and the last of the summer ships from France had started on her long voyage home. As long as La Bonne Esp?rance was still in sight, many of Auclair's friends and neighbours had kept him company on the hill-top; but when the last tip of white slid behind the curving shore, they went back to their shops and their kitchens to face the stern realities of life. Now for eight months the French colony on this rock in the North would be entirely cut off from Europe, from the world. This was October; not a sail would come up that wide waterway before next July. No supplies; not a cask of wine or a sack of flour, no gunpowder, or leather, or cloth, or iron tools. Not a letter, evenーno news of what went on at home. There might be new wars, floods, conflagrations, epidemics, but the colonists would never know of them until next summer. People sometimes said that if King Louis died, the Minister would send word by the English ships that came to New York all winter, and the Dutch traders at Fort Orange would dispatch couriers to Montreal.
Lament of a Paedophile Satanist’s Still Surviving Ex-Wife Compendium of Three Poems【電子書籍】[ Maha Ete ](3)

This is the compendium of three poems I wrote about the ex wife of a pedophile Satanist and the aftereffects of her near death experience at the hands of her ex. as told to me over the period of more than one year by her. It details three periods of her life both with him and after their breakup. Admittedly it just breaks the surface of the things she told me, some of which made my stomach churn and I'm a fairly stable individual, so that's saying something.

Cherringham - A Fatal Fall A Cosy Crime Series【電子書籍】[ Neil Richards ](3)

Dylan McCabe - a livewire Irish labourer on a rushed Cherringham building Project - has been making noises about the site's lack of safety. When he's discovered dead after a fall, it seems that Dylan's own warnings were all too true. That is ... until Jack and Sarah get involved, and suddenly what looks like an accident becomes a case of cold-blooded murder. With a festive Cherringham Christmas just days away, Jack and Sarah set out to find the culprit. But soon they find their own lives being threatened too ...

-- Cherringham is a serial novel ? la Charles Dickens, with a new mystery thriller released each month. Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa.

-- For fans of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series, Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who series, Caroline Graham's Midsomer Murders, and the American TV series Murder She Wrote, starring Angela Lansbury.

-- Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid 90’s, creating content and working on projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and - most recently - the successful crime fiction series Cherringham. Now into its second season of 12 novellas, Cherringham is popular around the world and has been adapted as a series of audiobooks in Germany.
