L?nder - Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, Note: 2, Freie Universit?t Berlin (Geschichte), 37 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die zeitgen?ssische Rezeption der Wiedergeburtsepoche wurde durchdrungen von stereotypisierten Bedeutungsk?rzeln wie Niederlage am Wei?en Berg, Zwangsrekatholisierung auf der einen und Hussitismus auf der anderen Seite. Ganz in dieser historischen Ambiance bewegte sich auch die Glorifizierung von Personen der tschechischen Geschichte, deren M?rtyrertum zum Mythos geworden war, wie Jeronym oder Jan Hus. Gerade an dem Beispiel des tschechischen Mythos von Meister Jan Hus und Hussitismus soll in der vorliegenden Arbeit gezeigt werden, ob die Mythen zerst?rt, entmythologisiert, re-aktualisiert oder ob ihnen positive Gegenentw?rfe entgegengestellt werden. Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit soll im ersten Teil auf der Darstellung des Jan Hus´ und Hussitismus in der tschechischen Literatur des 19. und 20. Jhs. liegen. Da die vorliegende Arbeit wegen der Vielzahl der literarischen Werke mit hussitischen Themen keinen Anspruch auf Vollst?ndigkeit erheben kann, nimmt die Konzeption von Franti?ek Palack? in der Arbeit einen besonderen Platz ein. Im zweiten Teil wird ber?cksichtigt, welche Rolle und Bedeutung Jan Hus von seinem Wirken bis in die j?ngste Zeit auf die Bildung der tschechischen nationalen Identit?t spielt und inwieweit Hus heute noch aktuell ist. Au?erdem wird zu folgender, diese Arbeit leitende These Stellung genommen. Sie lautet: 'Die alten Wahrnehmungs- und Bewu?tseinsformen von Jan Hus sind nicht zusammen mit dem politischen System des Kommunismus ?berwunden worden'. Da es trotz umfangreichen Studien die Definition dessen, was eigentlich der Mythos ist, unklar, mehrdeutig und metaphorisch bleibt, ist es sinnvoll, zun?chst den Begriff genauer zu bestimmen. Im zweiten Abschnitt wird daher auf die Frage, was ist und wie wirkt ein Mythos, eingegangen. Um die Zusammenh?nge besser zu verstehen, gehe ich dann im nachfolgenden dritten Abschnitt kurz auf den Lebensablauf des Jan Hus´ und in dem vierten Abschnitt auf die historischen Hintergr?nde der tschechischen Wiedergeburt im 19. Jh. ein. In den darauf folgenden Abschnitten konzentriere ich mich auf die oben genannten Themen.
